Goût de France / Good France : A Day for the World to Enjoy French Cuisine ≪Terminated≫

The creation Goût de France / Good France, a day where French-style dinners are enjoyed on five continents worldwide, was sparked by UNESCO adding the French gastronomic meal to its intangible cultural heritage of humanity list. Beige Alain Ducasse Tokyo will be participating in the event, along with as many as 3,000 chefs in 150 countries.

All restaurants participating in Goût de France / Good France will present traditional, French-style course menus that feature fresh and seasonal local ingredients and that use fat, sugar, salt and protein in moderation. Participants are encouraged to donate five percent of the day’s sales to NGOs involved in health and environmental conservation.

In addition, this year’s special Goût de France / Good France course will pay homage to Paul Bocuse, the master of French cuisine, who passed away on January 20, with the inclusion of one dish reproduced from his recipes.
