Invitations to the Special “CHANEL Pygmalion Days”


The “CHANEL Pygmalion Days” program, which provides young artists with opportunities to perform, will be held at the CHANEL NEXUS HALL on the 4th floor of the Chanel Ginza Building. Guests who dine at “Beige Alain Ducasse Tokyo” are invited to attend these May 2017 concerts.

Applicable : Guests with reservations for these 2 days at “Beige Alain Ducasse Tokyo”
Number of seats : Matinée and Soirée performances are both limited to 10 guests.

Performer Profiles

Keigo Mukawa <Piano>

Currently studying at the Conservatoire de Paris and the Tokyo University of the Arts. Awarded first place at the 81st Music Competition of Japan and second place at the 25th Concours International de Piano d’Epinal. Placed second at the 18th Ile de France International Piano competition. Currently studying under Frank Braley and Haruko Ueda. A scholarship student of the Rohm Music Foundation.

Fumie Kato <Cello>

Fumie Kato graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts and the Conservatoire a Rayonnement Regional de Paris. Among the awards she has received are 1st prize at the 8th Viva Hall Cello Competition, 2nd prize in the string section at the 7th and 8th Tokyo Music Competition, and 3rd prize at the Concours FLAME, Paris. She was a recipient of the 2011 Kyoto City Special Bounty Program for Arts and Culture. She has played with orchestras including Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. Ayako Tahara <Viola>

Ayako Tahara graduated from Toho Gakuen College Music Department in March 2017. She won 1st prize and the Special Audience Prize at the 11th Tokyo Music Competition, and grand prix and the Rumanian National Radio Station Prize at the 9th International Romania Music Competition in 2013. She has appeared in the NHK-BS premium TV program “Classical Music Club” and on the NHK-FM radio program “Recital NOVA”. She performed concertos as a soloist with Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and Tokyo Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. CHANEL Pygmalion Days Chamber Music Series Artist.

Makiko Yoshime <Soprano>

Made her debut at the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Theater’s production of “The Magic Flute”, playing the role of Pamina in 2010. After her success, played Susanna in the “The Marriage of Figaro” and “Pagliacci” as Nedda, and more. In 2016, made her debut at NHK’s New Year Opera Concert. Studied in Florence, supported by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, and is a member of Tokyo Nikikai Opera Foundation.
